The best everyday dimmers for your lighting projects

The best everyday dimmers for your lighting projects

When looking for a grid or module dimmer, it’s not hard to become overwhelmed by choice or to just buy whatever is immediately available.

We’re constantly updating our products to ensure they have the latest technology built in and, unlike other manufacturers that focus on decorative finishes, all we sell is dimming technology. We live and breathe it and, as a result, our dimming products outperform all others in independent testing.

We’ve worked hard to bring everyday products to market to make sure that our flicker-free technology is accessible at every price point. In fact, knowing how much better our technology is than other products that are available, and knowing that it isn’t restricted to volume of lamps, we believe there really isn’t a better grid product or module than the ZGRIDLED150 and the ZMO150.

Just a quick recap on the products.

What wattage are they? 0-150W/VA

Can you use the whole range or are you restricted by lamp volume? You can use the whole range, just make sure you allow for inrush.

How much should you allow for inrush? It varies on the lamp. Some have zero inrush, other lamps’ inrush means the load doubles. Whilst there isn’t one simple calculation, we have explained everything you need to know, here. However, we test lamps all day every day, so you can always give us a call if there is a lamp you swear by – we can normally tell you straight away how it performs in our testing lab and what inrush spike it gives.

Why the ZGRIDLED150 over other grid dimmers? Aside from its advanced technology, and it being one of the most cost-effective grid dimmers you can buy, it also comes with 9 leading grid adaptors. You can also purchase a tenth option, with a Click Scolmore Grid Pro adaptor, which falls under our ZGRIDLITE range. If you know exactly which adaptor you need, our ZGRIDLITE150 is the way to go.

Is the module offset or centre? It comes in both options, so whichever version you need you can buy.

Can you programme them? Yes, both dimmers come with Zano’s Smart Settings built in and, unlike other products on the market, you can’t accidentally trip into programming mode.

As always, if it would help to talk through a product or discuss pairing the dimmers with a particular manufacturer’s lamp, just give us a call on 03455 195 858. We always love hearing from you.
